Mike Neglia & The Nobles: ‘Inside Job’

Mike Neglia & The Nobles make music that feels lived in. It’s dusty and jangly and the kind of Midwest rock that’s as equally influenced by Tom Petty and The Replacements as the alt-country of the early ’90s like Wilco, Jayhawks, and Whiskeytown. The Fort Wayne quartet of Mike Neglia (guitar/vocals), Jack Wellington (bass), Ben Francis (keyboard), and Delaney Rice (drums), who took over for Alex Gleason, have just dropped their debut, Inside Job. It’s a fully formed document of what Mike Neglia & The Nobles are all about: thoughtful and introspective rock songs that are easy to lock into and relate to.
